Mark's Hix's latest establishment encourages to gorge on wholesome food as exhibited by their 'hip up' chicken below. His eccentric and tasty take on 'Snax' entice and resemble individual art pieces - bar food for the palettely inclined. They range from Salt and Vinegar onions rings, chicken popcorn and the aptly named chicken or steak slipper. The prices are reasonable and the offerings satisfyingly identifiable and simple: chicken, steak, lobster, oysters and even vegetarian options for those less carnivorous.
It's not all about food, an installation by Helen Chadwick replicates a London underground tube carriage - London epitomized, alcohol flowing blurring realities. A happy hour collection of happy-go-lucky cocktails (from 10pm to 11:30pm) encourage frivolity and debauchery in moderate undertones, although located in Mark's Bar via the basement. And for those more sensible - a reasonable £20 all in - pre and post theater offering, perfectly situated in London's buzzing Bankside.
